We have already explained that excessive sweating at work is the result of increased physical activity that raises body temperature, or so-called nervous sweating. However, if you still feel you are sweating more than you should, there may be a number of reasons why:
It is a well-known fact that men generally sweat more than women. Several studies have shown that, despite having the same number of sweat glands, they excrete more sweat per gland. Men also start to sweat sooner than women, so a smaller temperature difference is enough to trigger perspiration.
Excessive sweating that is not caused by another health problem is called primary hyperhidrosis. There is no known reason why this condition arises. However, experts point to genetics.
